How it all began...
THE OWNERS
Kaye & Seamus
Kaye and Seamus are the owners of Homestead Park and welcome you to celebrate your special day within the stunning grounds of their home.
​
The first wedding held at Homestead Park was ​that of Kaye and Seamus in 2017, and ultimately paved the way for The Barn to become the wedding venue it is today!
​
But before that initial day of celebration, Homestead Park and the surrounding lands, was a significant location for Seamus, whose Grandfather owned the property during his youth and where Seamus remembers spending much of his childhood milking cows, shearing sheep and riding horses across 1300 acres of picturesque farmland.
​
Meanwhile, Kaye grew up in country Victoria and spent much of her youth growing up in regional country towns. As a result, marrying Seamus and moving to Homestead Park was essentially a return to her roots and she now spends her time not only in the corporate world (the day job) but working with couples to bring their dream weddings to life in a space that she loves.
THE VENUE
The Barn at a Glance
Homestead Park and The Barn was built in the late 1800s by John Dore, the first European settler in the Nar Nar Goon Area and is the second house built in the area.

Although Seamus spent much of his youth on the property, it was only in 2005 that he was able to buy back 28 acres of the original property, which thankfully included the original homestead and milking yards.
​
Since their wedding in 2017, when they were encouraged to potentially share The Barn as a wedding venue, Kaye and Seamus have not only painstakingly renovated both the interior and exterior of the venue, but also extended the space with a sustainable renovation in 2021. This new renovation has not only doubled the size of The Barn, but also included a new stables for those wishing to share their day with their equine friends), bar area and an all important commercial kitchen. ​

For Seamus and Kaye, The Barn allows them to share the magic of Homestead Park with the wider world and in their mind, there is nothing more romantic than a wedding, set against the backdrop of picturesque countryside and heritage era buildings.
Where to begin!
The most PERFECT venue for a wedding.
The venue itself is so convenient having both ceremony and reception at the same location, providing a private area for the bridal party to escape and touch up if needed as well!
The property provides stunning backdrops for the most beautiful pictures!
There was not one person who didn't compliment the venue on our wedding night!
What an honour it was to have our wedding at Barn events!

Love Notes
Well… We actually don’t know where to start, we only had our wedding a few days ago and we are still taking in how much it exceeded everything we imagined. Firstly, the venue was everything we wanted and it spoke for itself, all of our guests haven’t stopped raving about how beautiful it was.
Kaye and Seamus were both great to deal with from the get go, they care and they made sure on the day that things were going to plan and even helped out with getting the perfect shots with their calm and friendly horses. You can also see how much effort and time they put into the property.
It is the perfect place for a couple looking for that DIY venue to personalise and make their wedding their own, we sure did and it was the best day of our lives. We were even able to have our fur babies there and it made it all the more special.
I also cannot recommend Aimie Parry the events planner enough, she is suggested in their packages and she is honestly a woman that can do it all & an a lifesaver on the day!
We will be recommending this venue to all of our family and friends in the future, my partner and I are both in hospitality and we can only truly appreciate a gem like this!

From the get go when our private property wedding was cancelled by our marquee suppliers Kaye was very accommodating with squeezing us in on a Thursday to help us out!
The venue is such an incredible space and I was very impressed with how the barn looked with our own personal touches to it.
Kaye was very helpful throughout the whole process and very responsive to messages and also kept me up to date on anything covid that would impact our day.
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone regardless of theme as it is versatile and can transform to what you want it to be. It perfectly fit over 100 of our guests for a plated dinner. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue to have gotten married at.
